Our History
Built on a response. Designed with purpose.
Black Rock Learning Center did not begin as a business plan. It began as a response.
Families who experienced our first center at Kingsview came back asking for more access, more locations, and more children served. Black Rock Learning Center was built to answer that call. It was also built to fulfill a promise. When children at Kingsview Learning Center shared their dreams about what the perfect place to learn would look like, we listened. Black Rock Learning Center was designed to be exactly that.
Since 2003, our graduates have entered elementary school prepared, confident, and ready for success. They have carried the foundation we built with them into every stage of their education.
That is not something we claim. It is something our families have watched happen.
A Story of Growth
Growth starts early.
One of our graduates entered kindergarten at age five and, on her own initiative, proposed and designed a mural for her new school. It became the centerpiece of the school year and a reflection of the confidence and creativity she'd built during her years at Black Rock Learning Center.
That's what we mean when we say we develop the whole child.
